Home and Septic Inspections Ottawa - Cancellation Policy
1. Policy Overview
By scheduling an appointment with Home and Septic Inspections Ottawa (“we,” “our,” or “us”) for any home inspection services, you (“the Client”) agree to abide by the terms of this Cancellation Policy, regardless of the scheduling method (text message, email, phone, or in person). This policy is designed to help us allocate our time and resources effectively and to accommodate all clients as efficiently as possible.
2. 24-Hour Cancellation Requirement
All cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. This notice period enables us to adjust our schedule and prepare accordingly.
3. Cancellation Fees
If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total inspection cost will apply. This fee covers time, preparation, travel, and the opportunity cost associated with reserving this time exclusively for your inspection.
4. Purpose of the Cancellation Fee
The cancellation fee helps cover the following costs:
• Preparation: Time and effort spent organizing, preparing tools, and making arrangements for your inspection.
• Travel and Scheduling: Our travel time and related expenses.
• Missed Opportunities: The inability to book another client during the reserved time.
5. No-Show Policy
If the Client or the Client’s representative (such as a realtor) does not attend the inspection at the agreed time and location without prior notice, the 50% cancellation fee will apply.
6. Payment Terms
The cancellation fee will be invoiced and must be paid within 7 days of the originally scheduled inspection date. Unpaid invoices may result in additional collection actions as necessary.
7. Agreement to Terms
By scheduling an appointment with Home and Septic Inspections Ottawa, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation Policy in full, regardless of whether the appointment was scheduled by text, email, phone, or other means.
